Akal Child Care is licensed under the Ontario Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), and is regulated by the Ministry of Education. At Akal Child Care, we truly believe that the first few years of a child’s life are critical and lay the foundation for building confident and capable individuals who can reach their full potential! We are committed to providing children with industry-leading social, intellectual and physical programs that are delivered by our exceptional educators. We provide a nurturing and stimulating environment in order to enrich the experience of each child, and to encourage and promote learning and development.
It is our promise to support the children in our care, and to help them develop a sense of love and respect for themselves, while they are in a stimulating environment that promotes individual recognition and cultural diversity. Your child’s educational needs will be met through a play-based learning environment, while utilizing our wide-range of resources, curriculum, physical environment and high-quality learning aids.
In order to deliver exceptional and high-quality care for children enrolled at our centre, we are committed to investing in recruiting and retaining extraordinary educators. All of our classrooms are led by Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs). All of our educators also have a valid Standard First Aid Certificate with level C CPR, along with a clear vulnerable sector criminal refence check. All members of our team are also required to regularly attend Professional Development workshops in order to further enhance their knowledge of the latest research, practices and policies.
We are open Monday to Friday from 7am-6pm. We are open all year round, so that you do not have to look for child care during the summer and other breaks. In addition to our Full Time Programs (Monday to Friday), we also offer Part Time care options for 2 – 3 days/week.
We are part of the Region of Peel’s Child Care Subsidy program. Any families that require financial assistance can get more information by contacting the Region of Peel or from their website by clicking here.
